This course is Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) approved for funding of course fees for company sponsored eligible Singapore citizens and permanent residents. The funding approval code is TGS-2023040681. We will check with SSG and assist companies for their funding of course fees. If you want to submit a claim for absentee payroll funding of eligible trainees, your company will have to do it online via the Skillsfuture website www.skillsfuture.gov.sg

Course Objective

At the end of the course, participants will be able to prepare dangerous goods consignments for shipping by air according to the ICAO Technical Instructions For The Safe Transport  Of Dangerous Goods By Air & the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Understanding hazard communication

Familiarising with basic emergency response

2. Classifying dangerous goods

Evaluate a substance or an article against the classification criteria

Determine dangerous goods description

Review special provisions

3. Preparing dangerous goods shipment

Assess packing options including quantity limitations

Apply packing requirements

Apply marks and labels

Assess use of overpack

Prepare documentation

Assessment

A written assessment will be conducted at the end of the course. All successful participants will receive an IATA certificate that is valid for 24 months.
