Course Funding By Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG)

This course is Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) approved for funding of course fees for company sponsored eligible Singapore citizens and permanent residents. The funding approval code is TGS-2020500081. We will check with SSG and assist companies for their funding of course fees. If you want to submit a claim for absentee payroll funding of eligible trainees, your company will have to do it online via the Skillsfuture website www.skillsfuture.gov.sg

For individual trainees who wish to use their own Skillscredit to pay for course fees, kindly visit the Skillsfuture website www.skillsfuture.gov.sg Look for the Skillscredit portal to authorise payment to us. Proof of authorisation of payment must be shown to us. See our Terms

Course Objectives

This course is designed to train drivers who are involved in the transportation and handling of hazardous materials. Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

• Explain the 9 classes of hazardous substances and their identification
• Explain the purpose and legislation requirements on the transport of hazardous materials
• Explain the roles and responsibilities of drivers in an emergency
• Explain the basic principles on the chemistry of fire and be able to operate a fire extinguisher effectively.

• Hazard classes and their identification
• Legislation and code of practice
• Emergency procedures
• Properties of fire and proper usage of fire extinguishers
• 5-Point Safety Checks on LPG systems in households

The course is meant for Drivers involved in the transportation and handling of Hazardous Materials

Assessment

An assessment will be held at the end of the course

• Successful candidates will need to make a permit at S.C.D.F which is valid for two years.
